Shipping
From the barn to your hands.
Every piece is packed by me, in the studio, on the day it ships. Here is how that works, and roughly when to expect things to arrive.
When a piece ships.
Work that is in stock leaves the studio within 3–5 business days of the order. Larger or fragile pieces — sculpture, flameware, anything tile — sometimes take a day or two longer because the box gets built around the piece, not the other way around.
You will get an email with a tracking number the moment the box leaves the studio. If you don't see it, check your spam folder; if it's not there, write to me.
How long it takes.
I ship from New England via USPS, UPS, or FedEx — whoever can handle the piece most gently for the route. Domestic transit is typically 3–7 business days. The west coast is the long end of that; the northeast is the short end.
What it costs.
Shipping is a flat $15 within the contiguous United States. Orders over $150 ship free. Alaska, Hawaii, and international destinations are not currently supported from the site — for those, send a note and I'll quote you directly.
How things are packed.
Pottery does not love being shipped. I double-box fragile work, nest pieces in shredded kraft and foam, and pad the corners. If a box ever arrives looking like it lost a fight, photograph it before you open it and write to me — I'd rather replace a piece than have you live with a chipped one.
Made-to-order and waitlist.
Some work is fired in batches. If a piece you want is on the waitlist, you'll get a personal note when the next firing is out of the kiln, with a link to buy. Lead times for custom or commissioned work are quoted separately — write to inquire.
